avsnet’s Managing Director, Graham Fry, sat down with Comms Dealer recently to discuss avsnet’s impressive growth, its enhanced managed services portfolio, and what businesses will likely need to invest in in the coming months.

One trend included the growing acceptance of video in business and, as outlined in his interview, just how important it is to ensure an intuitive user experience. If businesses are to ensure maximum return on investment, they must focus on the network’s impact on visual communications. The network is a crucial consideration for any IT deployment, especially with businesses looking to adopt more flexible working strategies.

Further into the interview, Graham discussed key growth areas: “This coming year we see significant growth opportunities in Microsoft Lync, or as it is now officially known, Skype for Business.”

Microsoft’s purchase of Skype and its unification of its solution portfolio proves video’s impact on businesses. From avsnet’s perspective, this is demonstrated by the fact that nearly 80 per cent of the companies avsnet engages with are planning Skype for Business deployments in the year ahead.

Graham concluded the interview with a discussion of avsnet’s customer relationships: “Listening and learning about our customers’ day-to-day challenges is an important part of our growth strategy. We have grown because we are aligned with their business needs and provide a service that meets these requirements effectively.”
