While smart devices have already had a positive impact on businesses, it is obvious we are still at the early stages of mobility. According to Forrester, growth is expected to explode as the world becomes more connected and comfortable with the flexibility that smart devices bring.
By 2017, tablet ownership is expected to grow by 300% (154 million tablets in 2012 to 651 million). Smartphones will be even more pervasive. 2.4 billion people are expected to own one by the same year.
Businesses have to be ready for this growth. Staff will expect tools that are smartphone and tablet enabled. The corporate network will have to cope.
